Personal

I am a highly analytical and intelligent individual who can work and adapt to any tasks given. I’m an incredibly friendly person; I have a great sense of humour showing I can confidently interact with both customers and peers. I also hold a strong Computer Science degree from a top 20 UK university.

I have seen all types of advertising both online and offline and possess a deep sense of what is effective and ineffective. In my time as a PPC manager I have managed multiple accounts spending upwards of £100,000 each month and achieving great ROI in the process. I thrive on taking over or creating Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising accounts and optimising it to the absolute best it can be.

Experience

  • Started out as the first in-house employee at my first agency. By being thrown into the deep end I had to quickly learn Google Ads. I was Google Ads certified and creating campaigns from scratch using Excel and Google Ads Editor within 3 weeks. I had no experience in using the interface before then.
  • Working closely with my director who has over 20 years’ experience in online marketing, I rapidly improved my understanding of advertising on the internet along with running an agency.
  • Worked on paid search campaigns in sectors such as animal medicine, garden products, windows suppliers, horse feed products, balustrade suppliers, veterinary hospitals and bespoke garden rooms where one lead could generate sales of approximately £20,000. I have experience in both B2B and B2C.
  • Along with the advanced skills of managing Google Ads campaigns, I also have knowledge of creating and optimising Facebook Ads.
  • I have a firm understanding in conversion rate optimisation (CRO) and landing page optimisations and have worked alongside web-developers to improve client’s website to increase conversion rates.
  • Company expanded to have more PPC managers so was tasked to train and support my co-workers to handle smaller accounts and tasks. By doing so I had more time to expand my knowledge in other areas of PPC and Analytics. It also taught me how to thoroughly plan, coordinate and execute PPC campaigns.

Software:

  • Google Ads Editor/Bing Ads Editor – Able to utilise these tools to rapidly create new campaigns and ads in bulk. I can manipulate Excel documents to then optimise large accounts.
  • Microsoft Excel – Confident in utilising VLOOKUP, PivotTables and other useful functions.
  • Programming – JavaScript along with HTML and CSS. I understand Google Ads Scripts and can adapt them to be used for my own purpose.
  • Supermetrics – Google Drive add-on used to automate reports across different channels.
  • Photoshop – Ample experience in Photoshop to create Google Display, Facebook ads and assets to be used on landing pages.

Online Tools:

  • Google Analytics – Analysing and interpreting data in layman’s terms for both clients and internally.
  • Google Tag Manager – Confident in implementing and using tag manager to place tracking codes on websites.
  • Keyword Research Tools – Mixing and combining different keyword tools along with Google’s own to get a full scope of keywords to bid for. Examples: Moz Keyword Explorer, Term Explorer, Ubersuggest etc.
  • Unbounce – Landing page creation with knowledge in A/B multivariate testing and long form sales writing.
  • Optmyzr – Google Ads and Bing optimisation solutions with automated tools.
